I’m new to the #RomperRevolution - which should I try first?
We recommend starting with one of our classic staple Rompers, such as the Sunday Romper or the Romperalls. These versatile styles are perfect for any occasion and offer the ultimate comfort you've been searching for. Once you try one, you'll be hooked on the #RomperRevolution!
Why do your Rompers cost more than some other brands on the market?
Don’t get us wrong—our Rompers deliver life-changing levels of comfort. But what feels so good about wearing Smash + Tess isn’t just the fabric or the fit. It’s that everything we produce comes from authentically happy, healthy origins and is made in small batches (as opposed to fast-fashion brands that sell cheaper products).
We’ll always craft our clothing with closely-vetted production partners who meet our standards for ethical work environments and sustainability standards. Our team hand-selects each element and stands behind the quality of every piece—and the working conditions they’re made in. Every single style is tested, tweaked and tried on by our founders again and again (and again).
We can confidently say every style is made well and made to last because we’re so close to everything we create—it’s a difference our community feels.
What Romper should I get if I'm pregnant? Should I size up?
We find that our #smashtessmama's like to stick with their regular size in our staple styles, as our signature bamboo + cotton blend has a lots of stretch. Perfect to grow with mom and baby!
Dress it up. Dress it down. Reach for it again and again. Throw a blazer on top and jump on a video call. Lay horizontally on the couch and watch eight hours of reality TV. We believe in the power of everywear: cute, comfortable clothes that don’t have a time limit or a weight limit or rude little things jabbing into your body. Women are changing the world, and they need clothes that can change with them. Wear everywear on your first day of a big new job. Or your first day of retired life. Wear everywear while you’re pregnant or chasing your kids around the house. Everywear moves through the chapters, stages and years with you: tried, true and reliably versatile.
I'm tall, which Romper will fit me?
All of our Rompers are made with a 7/8th leg and a drop waist for more of a relaxed look so our inseams can seem a little shorter!
That said, any of our staple Rompers with a jogger cuff will be slightly longer in the leg (the Monday Romper, Cozy Wednesday Romper, Cozy Thursday Romper II), and the Tuesday Wide Leg Romper II features one of our longest inseams. If you are looking for something that has more length in the torso, we would suggest one of our Rompers with a dropped waist.
Why are some of your styles on pre-order?
The way the fashion industry works didn’t work for us: massive collections planned years in advance, ordered in excessive quantities and designed for one size. So we scrapped everything and did things our own way. We design style-by-style on size-inclusive bodies.
We give sneak peeks to our #SmashTessFam, see what they’re loving, then decide what and how much to make from there. We’re slowing down the whole process to make thoughtful decisions so nothing gets wasted. We call it community-led design. As we grow, we’ll continue our journey to shape a new future for the fashion industry.
