HOSTING A VIRTUAL HOLIDAY PARTY
Who would have thought back in March that virtual parties would still need to be a thing this holiday season!? While we know everyone would much rather celebrate in person with their friends and family, we urge you to listen to your health officials and host these parties virtually! Not sure how to do that? Don’t worry - we got you!
Dress Up
A Romper is your virtual party essential! Not only is it super comfortable, but it can be super classy and chic too! Talk about not compromising comfort for style… whether it’s the Friday Romper paired with a statement jacket or the S+T Sunday Velvet Romper in Elevated Emerald paired with the Everyway Chain, S+T has your holiday looks covered!
Have a theme
Winter Wonderland? Roaring ‘20s? Glam? Rock your fave Romper? Having a theme makes a party instantly more fun for you and your guests. Your cocktails, decorations, outfit, you name it, can all follow this theme too! It’s like having a party in person, but, from the comfort of your couch.
Make your favourite cocktail
What’s better than enjoying your favourite cocktail in the comfort of your own home? Saving money otherwise spent on pricey cocktails, avoiding the dreaded holiday wait times for an Uber or cab, and the opportunity to learn to make your fave cocktails - wait, why weren’t we doing this all along!? Not to mention, at the end of the night you can just roll right into bed, not even having to change if you’re already wearing your Romper! This party is sounding better and better...
Decorate around you
Think 100% execution with 20% effort. You’re not going to be walking around your house with your Zoom on, so why do you need to decorate your entire place?! Life hack alert - you don’t! Go all out where your camera will see and you’re good to go. This also means so much less clean up. ANOTHER virtual party win in our books!
Play games
Playing games is a great way to feel like you are actually with your friends and family, even if you are playing from afar. The app Houseparty has tons of fun games and activities that you and your friends can play through your phone.
If you don’t want to video call from your phone and prefer using Zoom, you can use Jackbox.tv to play games such as Drawful or Fibbage. These aren’t the only two apps available (although, arguably the most popular). There are a lot of other apps that can be used for the same purpose depending on the game you are looking for.
