2018 SPRING FASHION TRENDS WE LOVE (PLUS A COUPLE WE DON'T!)
Fashion is our passion! Can you tell?! We get so much inspiration from what’s trending at Fashion Week in New York, London, Milan, etc. Here are our fave fashion trends for Spring 2018 (and few hard passes!):
Monochromatic Pastels
The Winter fashion trend of color blocking and monochromatic style continues into Spring with a twist! Light, breezy Spring colors are taking over the runway! Think dusty rose, powder blue, buttery yellow, sea foam green, light lavender and warm peach. We love experimenting with new colours for our classic Rompers so you can expect to see a fresh, new pastel Romper dropping on April 3rd! Hint: It’s a Saturday! *Photo Source
Sheer Fabrics
Transparent fabrics and creative cut-outs are spicing up Fashion Week around the world! Barely-there-wear doesn’t leave much to the imagination which can limit where you wear this daring Spring fashion trend. While husbands of our married #smashtessgirls might love a sheer Romper… you likely won’t see Smash + Tess using sheer fabrics anytime soon! 🤣 (Although, never say never!) *Photo Source
Ruffles
Ruffles and fringe were all the rage on the catwalk! There’s something about a fun, flirty ruffle that looks so feminine. We clearly love a good ruffle and were on point with our Sweetheart Romper that dropped just in time for Valentine’s Day! It appears our #smashtessgirls know a hot trend when they see one because they sold out fast! If you missed it, don’t fret… we’ve been known to bring back a few faves! *Photo Source
Mixed Prints
Fun florals, bright colours and bold patterns are a must but we’ll be honest… we have mixed feelings about mixed prints! Checkered, polka dots, stripes, tribal patterns and more were combined to create high fashion looks but while models rocked this Spring fashion trend, we tend to accessorize with prints. We love layering in prints and bold colours with scarves, totes, jackets or kimonos. Our Bird’s of Paradise Robe (pictured below) created a chic, cozy look and you can expect more prints from Smash + Tess in the future! *Photo Source
There are so many ways to combine 2018 Spring fashion trends with your Smash + Tess Romper! We’re accessorizing with print and are in love with the Leo Clutch designed by Jillian Harris for Privilege.
